Introduction

In Marvel Super War Deadpool carries both of his signature weapons, dual katana, and dual handguns. He also has two forms and changes his skills depending on the weapons he is using at the present. They even added the “8-year-old girl running to school” walk he sometimes does, and a very important feature – they deleted the number of deaths when you check the score screen and added zero in the Deadpool’s font. He can’t actually die, right?

Deadpool might be the most interesting character ever made in the Marvel universe. He is an immortal mercenary with incredible charisma and a cheeky sense of humor. At first he was first created as a supervillain, but later on, the creators decided that the title of an antihero suits him much better. He is well known for his breaking of the “fourth wall” as he is constantly ignoring the comic form for the sake of humor. He is the only character that’s aware he is in a comic. Also, his history is unknown as he is a mentally unstable persona with highly developed psychosis and this makes him completely chaotic and unpredictable, especially when it comes to fighting. He has no fighting style, he is making up moves “on the fly”. Dual katanas are his weapon of choice, but he is also an expert marksman, and he likes to use handguns.

In the movies, he is played by Ryan Reynolds, and in all fairness, they couldn’t find a more suitable actor that can fill Deadpool’s shoes.

PROS

  • Suitable for any role in the team, he is good in lanes and as a jungler. Playing a versatile hero like him is great, as you can fill in most roles, so your team won’t be lacking anything. Highly recommended hero for solo queue.

  • No mana. This means you can spam your skills as soon as they are off the cooldown and this is even a recommended course of action

  • High damage burst. You can use all of your skills in one form and then quickly switch to another and get another set

CONS

  • High versatility comes at a high price. Deadpool has 8 active abilities, he is really difficult to learn

Deadpool early game (lvl 8)

His natural passive gives a movement boost for two seconds whenever he changes forms. In case he hits a foe with any skill during those two seconds the timer resets.

Let’s talk about his forms. You should prefer engaging with your gun form as the range is decent and it is a more suitable form to poke your adversaries. Katana form should be used to chase, finish off your foes, and for longer brawls in general.

The first skill you should focus on is Katana Time / Catch Me If You Can. This is your main source of damage and it can be used for lane clearing as well as poking your opponents. Katana Time will leave a large shuriken spinning after it hits the first foe in the way and it has a nice synergy with the other skill(s) you should focus – Fire In The Hole! / Ya Can’t Hide. While holding guns, Deadpool will throw a grenade at the selected target dealing significant damage and stunning a foe for one second. While wielding katanas he will rush to the nearest foe and knock him up for 0.75 seconds and also hit the enemy pretty hard, taking away a nice chunk of HP. The last skill you should focus on would be Showoff / Can’t Hit Me. Showoff will give you some attack speed for 5 seconds in any form and the latter is a form of parry. You need to hold the “button” and he will start spinning katanas. Skill can be used for 4 seconds, and the gets more damage reduction as the seconds go by, having up to 90% DR at the end. It will also damage the surrounding foes for some energy damage and you will be immune to any crowd control effects while channeling the skill. His ultimate is actually a form change and can’t be further improved, you only get the basic form.

In Marvel Super War Deadpool can be used in lanes as well as the jungle. We will describe the laning process, although the jungling doesn’t change the way combos work and you can use the same one. Start with Katana Time, and follow it with Fire In The Hole immediately. Then use your Showoff to increase your attack speed, hit the foe once with a basic attack, and change form to dual katanas. You should immediately use the Ya Can’t Hide and stun the foe once again, follow it with one or two basic hits and them use Catch Me If You Can to chase the running foe (as he will most likely try to run off). In case he doesn’t want to run and he stays for the fight, channel Can’t Hit Me for its full duration, but make sure to stay near the foe at all times. Skill will usually be enough to finish the opponent off, and he can’t stun you or deal any significant damage to you during the channeling. Another interesting mechanics is the switch to the gun form from katanas, as Deadpool will jump to the opposite direction of the skill and this can be used to run away or to chase fleeing foes. You are immune to everything during the transition, so the movement can’t be stopped.

Deadpool mid-late game

In case you are jungling, you should chase the opponents that are attempting to solo push or defend lanes, as they are the most suitable targets for you. In case you are laning you should stay with your team and try your best to disrupt the enemy formation. Your engagement is just a bit different than the early game, as you don’t want to dive into the enemy team and then use the parry you have. You will probably die if you try this as you won’t have any defensive items and can’t stay alive for the first two seconds of the channeling. You need to use the Can’t Hit Me for at least a second before moving into the enemy team. Take care not to be the first one to engage though, wait for your tank and then go for it all the way to the enemy backline. When the channeling stops use the Ya Can’t Hide to stun the enemies and proceed to slice them up with your other skills. The enemies will force you to pull back at one point as this build has no sustain. Use the Bang! Bang! Bang! as we already mentioned to jump away from the backline back into your team and continue to poke. Note that you can’t kill their backline solo and that this move is mostly a diversion for your other teammates to wipe the floor with the remaining foes. Remember, he is known for his unorthodox fighting techniques and unpredictability, so a little roleplay will come in handy.
