Introduction

In Marvel Super War Human Torch is not your average mage. It takes some time to get used to playing him, but he is rather rewarding when you do. He is terrific for players who love to play risky heroes, squishy ones that have to get right in the middle of the action. If the fire is your preferred element he is the right guy for you.

Human Torch grew up in New York, and his real name is Johnny Storm. His childhood was not great, like most superheroes. He lost a mother early in a car accident and his father became an alcoholic, but also ended in jail later on. Luckily he had a sister, Sue Storm that will become Invisible Woman after being exposed to cosmic radiation. That’s also how Johnny became a Human Torch – the whole Fantastic Four team was in the same spaceship that was radiated. Since the accident, he has been able to engulf himself in flames without being harmed, but he can also fly, shoot fireballs and control any fire he sees, igniting it further or quenching it out completely. His fiery cloak protects him from any form of missiles or bullets, as it melts them down before they can do any harm.

PROS

  • Great mobility. Human Torch is highly mobile thanks to his second skill

  • Good finisher. Mostly thanks to his mobility and the ultimate that can stun a foe for a long time, it’s hard to escape him

CONS

  • Susceptible to cc

  • Kinda low damage. Although his main skill can be cast in quick succession, he still lacks proper damage

Human Torch early game (lvl 8)

Your first skill of choice has to be Combustion. It will serve you throughout the game to clear lanes, poke, and start combos. Take the middle lane and play against the opposite mage. This part of the game is rather boring for a Human Torch, not a lot of action. Beware of the enemy jungler, but it’s not like you have to stay near your tower at all times, just keep the Fiery Cage at the ready. This is your main source of chasing and running away from enemies. Don’t waste it, since it has a long cooldown. Poke the enemy hero whenever you can and you can roam here and there with the Fiery Cage. Try to get the enemy hero to half of the HP of less before you try to execute the Human Torch’s combo. You start with Combustion, poke with your basic attack, use the Flames of Rage, and make a triangle around the enemy quickly with Fiery Cage. Another Combustion or basic attack to finish the enemy off if he’s not roasted yet. This is the combo for most one-on-one situations with Human Torch. If you need to escape make a triangle with Fiery Cage towards the escape route. It’s good for poking of the chasing foes.

Human Torch mid-late game

Here is the part where you need to be extra careful. You will have *some* armor with our build, but not nearly enough to stay and duel against any marksman or God forbid, junglers. The armor is there to help you survive longer and that’s it. We talked about the specific combo you should use. Try to target the middle of the enemy team or any place where you think they will shape a ball. Spam combustion to have as many targets as possible and then use the Flames of Rage in the middle of the fight. You need to be extra careful how you will use the triangle skill here, don’t stay behind an enemy team, or they will make a quick work of you. Try to step to the side or use your Eye of Agamotto’s active trait to get a 2.5 seconds immunity if you find yourself in a pickle and can’t move. Hopefully, the air will clear out long enough for you to escape the fray. Use the combination of Fiery Cage and Combustion to move around the battlefield in a team fight (Combustion can slow enemies for quite the bit) or to chase the enemies and get some easy kills. Also applicable in case you need to run away from the fight.
