Introduction
In Marvel Super War Iceman works as expected. He has a set of freezing abilities that can stop the opponents completely and set them up nicely for your team to finish off, so you could say he is some kind of support. Although he can also completely annihilate most foes later on when you collect enough items and boost his offense.
Iceman is an omega level mutant and one of the founders of X-Men. He is known for his transparency and honesty, even sounding dull at some moments. Iceman was created back in 1963 by the legendary Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He appeared in a bunch of comics and cartoons, with only one movie appearance. Being one of the first members of X-Men, he had a lot of encounters with supervillains, and we could stay all day to talk about it. At one point he got a second mutation that covered all of his body in ice and he could never return to normal human shape. He had a lot of ups and downs, as he left X-Men at one point and founded the Champions with some other superheroes, but they disbanded quickly. Then some former members founded the X-Factor and after an encounter with Loki they all united with the rest of the X-Men again Men and Iceman continued his legacy in that famous organization.
Update 06.08.2020.
Frost: Dealing damage to frozen enemies will no longer stack Freeze. Freeze duration has been adjusted from 1 second at all levels to 1/1.1/1.2/1.3 second(s). (Effect changes at Lv. 1/6/11/16). Passive damage bonus has been increased from (30%*energy attack) to (50%*energy attack).
Bone Chill: Bone Chill’s damage has been adjusted from (55/90/125/160/195/230/265+25%*energy attack) to (55/85/115/145/175/205/235+32%*energy attack).
Frostcoming: Frostcoming’s stage 2 energy attack bonus has been increased from (50%*energy attack) to (75%*energy attack).
PROS
-
Good crowd control. Iceman can make a real difference in team fights as two out of three of his abilities are cc
-
He can burst a lot of damage in quick succession but only if you manage to hit with every skill.
CONS
-
No mobility. He doesn’t have any abilities that boost his movement speed or at least a blink. Like most mages, he is also weak to cc, and this makes him an easy target for the enemy junglers
-
Skills are harder to hit, especially ultimate which you can easily waste as the skill arrow is too narrow. Enemies are not passive, they will move around the battlefield making your work a lot harder, of course

Iceman early game (lvl 8)
Your natural passive is Frost, and it will freeze your opponent solid for one second after you collect 100 Frost and it will also deal some damage to him. You gain frost points as you hit with any of your abilities and basic attacks.
At first, you should take Bone Chill as you’ll need to clear the minion waves. Iceman channels a continuous beam of frost from his palms and damages foes every 0.3 seconds. You can also poke your opponent with it as it goes right through the minions. At the start, this ability feels weak, but later on, it is excellent as it scales really well.
For the first few levels, you will feel weak, you won’t be able to clear the minion waves quickly as you could with other mages and you have to play defensively. Tables will turn when you complete your first offensive item as you will also get to level four at this point and your ultimate will unlock. This gives you some breathing space, and you can poke your nose out of the towers range, try to push the lane, and start chasing your lane’s opponent away. As your ultimate will be hard to hit, you need to stop your enemy before targeting them. Otherwise, you might miss and need to wait for 60 seconds until you can use it again. That’s an awful lot of time in a game like this, and you need to make sure that every ultimate hits the desired target. You can do it by freezing your opponents’ solid before targeting them with it. Just stack 100 Freeze points on a foe you are trying to target and you are golden. I have to point out that this ability is devastating if you manage to use it while defending under the tower. I’ve managed to slay three enemies several times by myself while defending the tower.
Always look out for the enemy junglers at this point in the game, as you won’t be able to escape them. Even the slowest junglers get the better of you, so run away like the devil itself is chasing you as soon as you see them closing in.
Iceman mid-late game
As the round is moving forward you will become more useful to your team. Try to stay close to any hero from your team as you’ll be able to freeze them solid and your teammates can collect the kill easily. There is no mage in the game that’s able to set up an assist as nicely as Iceman. Good junglers will always roam around close waiting for anyone to try to engage you so they can pick up an easy kill. Late in the game when the team fights are massive you will become a fearsome force on the battlefield, slowing and freezing a few heroes at once. But if the enemy jungler or a bruiser gets a hold of you call the priest as the only ones that can save you are your teammates. You can try whatever you want, there is no chance in hell you can survive a direct encounter with them. Hopefully, your teammates will know the importance of a hero like this on the battlefield and they won’t let it happen. Iceman can deal as much damage as an icicle falling from a great height, or he can shatter like one, he is the definition of glass cannon.
