Marvel Super War Items – Attack
Twilight Blade
Special Property: Critical Damage
Cost: 2265
+140 attack
+20% Crit Rate
Passive – Twilight Blade: Critical hits deal an extra 10% true damage.
The most expensive of Marvel Super War items. True damage ignores armor. Great for heroes that deal damage with basic attacks. Should be used in combination with another attack speed and crit chance item. So, also buy either Sky Shadows or Silent Hunter.
Sky Shadows
Special Property: Fragmented Attack
Cost: 1865
+45% Attack Speed
+25% Crit Rate
+7% Movement Speed
Passive – Sky Shadows: Basic attacks deal an extra (+30% Physical Attack) physical damage to an additional 2 enemy units.
Silent Hunter deals more damage, but with Sky Shadows you also get a movement speed boost. Having more speed can be beneficial to a melee DPS-er. The fragmented attack is good in clumped up team fights, as you will also hit two nearby opponents for 30% of your damage.
Silent Hunter
Special Property: AoE Damage
Cost: 1865
+45% Attack Speed
+30% Crit Rate
Passive – Silent Hunter: Every 6 seconds, your basic attacks will deal 100 (+10*Level) energy damage to 5 enemies, and each basic attack reduces this cooldown by 2 seconds. Deals 2x damage to minions.
Silent Hunter is the best of all Marvel Super War items for farming minions, due to its passive AoE damage. An excellent choice for rapid-fire marksmen.
Valkyrior Bow
Special Property: Percentage Damage
Cost: 2135
+60 Physical Attack
+35% Attack Speed
+10% Attack HP Steal
Passive – Valktrior Bow: Basic attacks deal an extra (+8% Target’s Current HP) physical damage to targets (up to 150 damage to monsters).
Some attack, attack speed, and life steal, great for most marksmen. However, it’s a bit expensive, so not a great choice for the first item. 8% current HP damage is excellent against tanks since they have the most HP. So, if you’re playing a fast attacking marksman, and there are two or more tanky foes on the enemy team, consider buying Valkyrior Bow.
Stormbreaker
Special Property: Armor Reduced
Cost: 2000
+900 HP
+70 Physical Attack
+15% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Stormbreaker: Your physical damage reduces the target hero’s armor by 4%, stacking up to 6 times and lasting 6 seconds. Move in the direction of an enemy hero who has been afflicted by the maximum number of stacks for an extra 40 movement speed boost.
Good choice for almost all top laners. You can also consider buying it for a fast attacking DPS-er if you want to make it a bit more tanky with some armor penetration, instead of going for full damage build.
Mjolnir
Special Property: Basic Attacks Slow
Cost: 1925
+90 Physical Attack
+180 Armor
Passive – Mjolnir: Basic attacks reduce the tagets movement speed by 40% for the next 1.5 seconds. This slow effect is halved when in the hands of a ranged hero.
Excellent item for bruisers, like Thor (well it’s his hammer, after all) or Executioner, and can be used on some tanks or even melee DPS-ers, if your targets keep running away, and you want to try out something new. Mjolnir grants both solid attack and armor, so it will increase both offensive and defensive capabilities. Slow effect is great for preventing enemies from running away from you, (especially if they do not have blink skills) and setting up kills for your allies.
Titan’s Glory
Special Property: Active Control Immunity
Cost: 2115
+100 Physical Attack
+500 HP
+5% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Titan’s Glory: Dispels control effects on you and makes you immune to controll effects for the next 2 seconds (90-second cooldown).
If the enemy team has a lot of cc (heroes like Iceman and similar), consider taking Titan’s Glory for your melee DPS-er.
Heimdall’s Sword
Special Property: Energy Resist
Cost: 1950
+110 Physical Attack
+150 Energy Resist
Passive – Heimdall’s Sword: After taking energy damage when your current HP is lower than 30%, you immediately gain a shield absorbs 525 (+100% Bonus Physical Attack) energy damage for 3 seconds, while restoring 25 (+2.5*Level) HP over the next 4 seconds (4 seconds cooldown). Your physical damage makes enemy heroes take 35% reduced healing for 4 seconds.
Heimdall’s Sword is a solid choice for any offensive character if opposing energy heroes are an issue. However, it truly shines against life-stealing characters, since it will reduce their ability to heal by 35%. You can also consider using it if there’s Mantis on the enemy team. Against Adam, Hela, and Ancient One, it’s the best item you can buy (both energy resist and Anti-heal), except if you’re playing a tank.
The energy shield is equal to 500 + attack bonus from items – base attack value doesn’t count.
Gungnir
Special Property: Armor Penetration
Cost: 1950
+110 Physical Attack
+150 Energy Resist
Passive – Break: +25% Armor Penetration
Passive – Gungnir: +15% Extra Physical Penetration
If you want to kill tanks (or most fighters), Gungnir is the best choice as it offers the highest armor penetration out of all Marvel Super War items. This item is great for most DPS-ers, and commonly fills the fifth or sixth slot.
Dual Blade
Special Property: Lifesteal Shield
Cost: 1925
+110 Physical Attack
+25% Attack HP Steal
Passive – Dual Blade: When at max HP, absorbed HP is converted into a shield that can negate up to 100 (+40*Level) damage.
Dual Blade provides a lot of sustain and the shield will significantly improve the survivability of the squishy, but dangerous heroes. However, most characters shouldn’t buy it as the first item for one simple reason. You should first be able to dish out decent damage, in order to receive any significant healing from this item. So, Dual Blades will provide you with a higher amount of healing than other Marvel Super War items, but it’s not the best choice for actually dealing damage. It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong, +110 attack is nothing to sneeze at, but there are far better options. Finally, try to heal and build up your shield on minions/creeps before team fights, if you have this item.
Nightsword
Special Property: Basic Attack Up
Cost: 2100
+500 HP
+100 Physical Attack
+5% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Heavy Attack: Your next basic attack after using an ability will deal an additional (+200% Basic Physical Attack) physical damage, and you will gain a 60% speed boost, which decays over 1.5 seconds (1.5 seconds cooldown).
Nightsword will double your basic attack damage, after using an ability. It’s actually +100% bonus, not +200%. This item is great for heroes that use abilities to deal damage, especially if they have low skill CD and/or 3 skills + Ultimate. Do note that Nightsword’s passive has 1.5 seconds CD, so throw in a basic attack or two between using skills to get the most out of this item.
Godslayer
Special Property: Powerful Attack
Cost: 2075
+130 Physical Attack
+7% Movement Speed
Passive – Godslayer: Basic attacks against heroes with less than 35% HP remaining will deal an extra 60 (+30*Level) physical damage. Participating in K.O. will remove the cooldown entirely; otherwise it is 10 seconds.
Godslayer is an excellent choice for most melee junglers. It increases their movement speed, and the passive makes their burst damage more potent, enabling them to quickly finish off their foe, and secure the kill. In other words, your hero will become more mobile and better finisher with this item.
Double Daggers
Special Property: Physical Damage
Cost: 2100
+120 Physical Attack
+7% Movement Speed
+15% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Double Daggers:The user ignores enemy armor equal to 30+Lv.*4.
Double Daggers are just great! High attack bonus, more movement speed, and lower CD make them a must for most melee DPS-ers and some marksmen. Double Daggers should be bought as the third or fourth item.
Immortal Glaive
Special Property: Trigger Shield
Cost: 2000
+1000 HP
+70 Physical Attack
Passive – Immortal Glaive: When taking 25% of your max HP as damage within 2 seconds, you gain a shield that negates (+25% max HP) and a 50% attack bonus for 4 seconds (90 seconds cooldown).
Immortal Glaive can be used as a fifth or sixth item on squishy physical heroes, as the shield can enable them to survive high burst damage in the late game. 50% physical attack bonus works great for all damage dealers, especially those that rely on fast basic attacks and lifesteal. Look at the Glaive icon to determine if this item is on cooldown or not.
Marvel Super War Items – Energy
Wand of Watoomb
Special Property: Energy Attack
Cost: 2400
+240 Energy Attack
Passive – Wand of Watoomb: +35% energy attack.
Wand of Watoomb has the highest energy attack out of all Marvel Super War Items. It is usually bought as fifth or sometimes sixth item, since the passive will boost up your total energy attack by an additional 35%. Multiple Wands of Watoomb do not stack! You can get only one 35% increase from passive. Otherwise it would be possible to reach some insane energy attack values.
Cosmic Cube
Special Property: AoE Damage
Cost: 2135
+240 Energy Attack
+7% Movement Speed
Passive – Cosmic Cube: Dealing ability damage to enemy heroes will also mark their current location , dealing 200 (+35% Energy Attack) energy damage to enemies in the area of affect after a further 0.4 seconds. (8 seconds cooldown)
Cosmic Cube is a very good choice since it grants a large damage boost (240 attack + passive) and also improves the mobility of your mage.
Divine Wings
Special Property: Active Blink
Cost: 1725
+160 Energy Attack
+600 HP
+15% Cooldown Reduction
Active – Divine Wings: Grants the ability to fly a short distance in your current direction (45 seconds cooldown).
Divine Wings is one of the most rarely used Marvel Super War items, but it will provide your mage with more mobility. It’s also the cheapest energy item, and it’s a good source of attack and CD reduction. Can be a decent choice for support characters that lack mobility.
Loki’s Scepter
Special Property: Energy Penetration
Cost: 1975
+180 Energy Attack
Passive – Loki’s Scepter: +45% Energy Penetration
Loki’s Scepter is a must for energy heroes. It’s usually bought as the sixth item, and it bypasses a large portion of the opponent’ s energy resistance. Equivalent to a Gungnir for energy heroes.
Casket of Ancient Winters
Special Property: Slows and reduces healing
Cost: 1925
+180 Energy Attack
+900 HP
Passive – Casket of Ancient Winters: Dealing ability damage to enemy heroes leaves a force field at the target’s location, which lasts for 1.5 seconds, reducing movement speed of enemy units in the area by 30%. 12-second cooldown.
Passive – Healing Reduction: Energy damage you deal reduces the healing effects received by enemies by 35% for 4 seconds.
This is the Anti-Heal item for energy heroes, plus the mass slow effect can be very beneficial in team fights. If you’re laning against Hela, consider buying Casket of Ancient Winters as your first item to reduce her healing and slow her down.
Arc Reactor
Special Property: EP Regen
Cost: 1825
+180 Energy Attack
+100% EP Regen
+15% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Arc Reactor: Participating in a K.O. of a hero will immediately restore (+20% Max EP) energy and reduce your ultimat cooldown by 10%.
Passive – Healing Reduction: Energy damage you deal reduces the healing effects received by enemies by 35% for 4 seconds.
Arc Reactor is usually bought as the first item since it enables your mage to stay in lane and keep on spamming abilities. With 100% EP regeneration you don’t have to worry about running out of energy.
Virus Cannon
Special Property: Basic Attack Up
Cost: 2135
+140 Energy Attack
+500 HP
+10% Movement Speed
+5% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Heavy Attack: Your next basic attack after using an ability will deal an additional 30 (+60% Energy Attack) energy damage (1.5 seconds cooldown).
Equvialent of a Nightsword for energy heroes. Virus Cannon should be bought as the fourth item or later, since you won’t receive much benefit from it if you buy it sooner. All heroes have 0 Base Energy attack, so you need to increase it first in order to gain some decent damage from enhanced basic attack. This item also grants 10% movement speed, and that’s a huge mobility boost.
Eye of Agamotto
Special Property: Active Immunity
Cost: 1925
+160 Energy Attack
+120 Armor
+10% Cooldown Reduction
Active – Eye of Agamotto: Transports your hero to another dimension for 2.5 seconds, where the hero will be immune to damage and unselectable (90-second cooldown).
Out of all Marvel Super War items, this is the only one that grants armor for energy characters. Having an active immunity is a blessing if the enemy jungler gets close and personal, or if you get into any other hairy situation. Eye of Agamotto is commonly used by the Ancient One and Adam, but it also a solid choice for most other energy heroes.
Antimatter Cannon
Special Property: Energy Lech
Cost: 2200
+170 Energy Attack
+600 HP
+10% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Antimatter Cannon: +25% Energy Leech
The only lifesteal item for energy characters. Restores HP equal to 25% of energy damage dealt. An excellent choice for Hela, Adam, and Ancient One.
Darkhold
Special Property: Percentage Damage
Cost: 2080
+170 Energy Attack
+500 HP
+10% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Darkhold: When your abilities deal energy damage, your target takes an additional (+5% Target’s Current HP) energy damage per second, for 3 seconds. This effect can deal up to 120 damage to monsters.
An excellent choice for energy heroes that have a low CD on their abilities and/or often deal smaller amounts of damage. Darkhold is perfect for Hela, but it’s also used by most other mages.
Marvel Super War Items – Defense
Glorious Armor
Special Property: AoE Damage
Cost: 1935
+900 HP
+180 Armor
Passive – Glorious Armor: Nearby enemies take 35 (+2% Bonus Max HP) energy damage per second (2x damage to non-hero units)
Glorious Armor is the first item of choice for almost all tanks and most fighters. It deals 35+2% HP from items energy damage. This armor is excellent for quickly clearing minions since you can affect more than one at the same time and they will receive double damage.
Starlight Armor
Special Property: Basic Attack Up
Cost: 2100
+700 HP
+190 Armor
+10% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Heavy Attack: Your next basic attack after using an ability will deal an additional 50 (+10*Level) (+5% Bonus Max HP) physical damage (1.5 second cooldown).
This item grants an enhanced basic attack and the CD reduction, which is rare for defensive items. It will provide your tank/bruiser with decent improvement offensively. +5% bonus damage only applies to HP from items.
Cloak of Levitation
Special Property: Resist Ability
Cost: 1865
+950 HP
+180 Energy Resist
+5% Cooldown Reduction
Passive – Cloak of Levitation: Every 40 seconds, automatically grants immunity to one ability.
Passive – Divine Aura: Reduces energy resist of nearby enemies by 60.
Cloak of Levitation doesn’t provide as much energy resist as Deathly Phantom. However, it can completely soak up one hostile ability, which can be very useful. For example, I remember chasing after Storm in one match, and the Cloak negated her S2 allowing me to avoid the stun and engage her. Divine Aura will cause your Glorious Armor to inflict more damage, and it will make enemies more susceptible to the attacks of allied mages (and other sources of energy damage).
Goblin Mask
Special Property: Dual Resistance
Cost: 1800
+165 Armor
+140 Energy Resist
+10% Cooldown Reduction
Active – Goblin Mask: Increases own armor and energy resist by 100% but decreases damage dealt by 40% for 4 seonds. Can be used while controlled (60 seconds cooldown)
Passive – Goblin Mask: Receiving total damage equivalent to 40% of your max HP (before applying damage reductions) will trigger a ring of ice, reducing the movement speed of any enemies it hits by 50% for 2 seconds. This effect has 8-second cooldown.
Goblin Mask can be taken as fifth or sixth item. It’s the best defensive choice of all Marvel Super War items in late game for tanks. Buy it after selling boots.
Megingjord
Special Property: HP Regen
Cost: 1865
+1600 HP
+30% Increase Healing Received
Passive – Megingjord: After being out of battle for 15 seconds, recover 20 (+3.5% Missing HP) HP per second.
Megingjord is one of the best items for characters that already have some sustain, as it grants a bonus to all healing. It is a must for tanks and bruisers in the mid/late game. Fighting minions or creeps doesn’t count as being in battle, but fighting other heroes counts. So, you will still get HP regen while clearing lane or jungling.
Vibranium Suit
Special Property: Physical Damage Deflection
Cost: 1835
+320 Armor
Passive – Vibranium Armor: Counterattacks when you take basic attack, dealing energy damage equal to (+7% Bonus Armor) +8% of the damage taken before damage reduction.
Passive – Vibranium Suit: Reduces attack speed of enemies within 450 yards by 15%.
Vibranium Suit is the best choice for countering high DPS foes (that rely on basic attacks) in the late game (like Blade, Hawkeye, Raccoon, etc.). It will reduce their attack speed and reflect some of the damage back at them.
Captain America’s Shield
Special Property: Physical Damage Reduction
Cost: 2220
+1000 HP
+200 Armor
Passive – Captain America’s Shield: Armor is enhanced by 3 every time you take damage from a hero’s basic attack. This buf increases by a factor of 2after you suffer a critical strike, up to a maximum of 10x. Damage taken from basic attacks is reduced by 12%, if this buff reaches the maximum.
Captain America’s Shield is the best choice for resisting physical damage, but also the most expensive one. The passive buff will activate once you start fighting other heroes, but it will reset after the battle. Look at Captain America’s Shield icon with numbers 1-10 if you want to know how much additional armor you have (up to 30 bonus armor with 10 stacks). Once you hit number 10, another shield icon will appear notifying you that the 12% damage reduction from basic attacks is active. But, as I said, this buff will reset back to 0 once your hero stops taking hits.
Deathly Phantom
Special Property: Energy Shield
Cost: 2150
+1000 HP
+220 Energy Resist
Passive – Deathly Phantom: Whenever you don’t take any damage for 5 seconds, you obtain a shield that can absorb up to 200 (+75*Level) energy damage.
The best of all Marvel Super War items for resisting energy. If there are two, three or more energy heroes on the opposing team, consider buying Deathly Phantom as one of your first items – do not use default builds in this situation.

Marvel Super War – Move Speed
Hydra Boots
Special Property: Armor
Cost: 735
Lightning Feet: +50 Movement Speed
+90 Armor
Passive – Hydra Boots: Reduces physical damage taken by 6%.
Hydra Boots is the most often used item in this category. Do note that 6% physical damage reduction is applied after damage reduction from armor has been calculated. In other words, you won’t gain 6% physical damage reduction on top of your damage reduction from armor.
For example, if you have 50% DR from armor, and somebody strikes you for 100 dam, it would be reduced to 50 dam, and Hydra Boots passive would further reduce it to 47 (6% of 50 = 3).
Upgraded Hydra Boots
Special Property: Energy Resist
Cost: 735
Lightning Feet: +50 Movement Speed
+75 Energy Resist
+30% Reduced Control
Upgraded Hydra Boots will provide your character with reduced control, which can be very helpful. For example, 1.0-second stun will become 0.7-second stun with these boots.
